Limewash in Orlando.

Mineral color with a softer rhythm. Limewash gives walls and ceilings tonal movement that responds to light without demanding attention.

Discuss your project

Color with atmosphere, rather than a uniform coat.

Limewash is a lime-based mineral finish with a characteristic variation in tone. Brushwork, coverage, substrate, and light influence the final appearance. It is a considered choice for interiors where the aim is softness and a surface that feels connected to its setting.

For Orlando homes, we help establish how much movement is right for the room. A quiet bedroom may call for a different application than a large living area or a textured feature wall. We work from the color direction and a physical sample, considering the adjacent materials and lighting.

Where it belongs

  • Living areas and bedrooms
  • Interior feature walls
  • Ceilings and coordinated room finishes
  • Residential and designer-led interiors

Preparation is part of the craft.

The substrate affects both color and movement. Painted drywall may need repairs, preparation, and a compatible mineral primer. Existing texture does not disappear under limewash. We assess surface condition and the desired result before deciding what preparation is needed. Water exposure and cleaning requirements also need to be considered when choosing a finish.

From first conversation to finished surface.

Set the direction

We review room photos, the light, existing wall texture, and the color and movement you want.

Confirm the sample

A physical sample helps establish the application direction alongside your flooring, stone, cabinetry, and other finishes.

Prepare the room

Surfaces are protected and the agreed repairs and compatible priming are completed before application.

Build the finish

Brush-applied layers develop the selected movement. We allow the finish to dry and provide care guidance appropriate to the product.

A few things to know.

Is limewash the same as ordinary wall paint?

No. Its mineral composition and application produce a different surface character. Variation is part of the intended result; a perfectly uniform color is better discussed as a separate finish direction.

Will limewash cover textured walls?

It can change the color and character, but it does not flatten the underlying texture. If you want a smoother result, preparation must address that texture before the limewash is applied.

Can limewash be used in a bathroom?

Suitability depends on the location, ventilation, exposure, and product system. A wall away from direct water is different from a shower enclosure. We assess the area rather than treating limewash as a waterproof coating.

How do I begin a limewash project?

Send the project location, room photos, the walls or ceilings you want finished, your timing, and your budget range. We can then discuss preparation, color direction, and the next step.
