Understand the space
We discuss the architecture, light, intended sheen, color direction, and the surfaces to be finished.
Depth that belongs to the architecture. Hand-applied Venetian plaster brings movement and changing light to walls, ceilings, and sculptural forms.
Discuss your projectThe approach
Venetian plaster is a family of decorative trowel-applied finishes, with character shaped by the material, the hand, and the way each layer is worked. The result can be restrained and softly textured or smoother and more reflective. We begin with the space and a physical sample, rather than assuming every room needs a polished wall.
Terra Alto Living works with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and builders across the Orlando area. From one feature wall to a continuous interior finish, we consider how the surface meets the ceiling, turns a corner, and receives daylight. Those transitions are part of the work.

Selected architectural plaster work
Terra Alto Living contributed as the second plaster artisan, brought onto the project by Corey Scragg Inc. Work included walls, ceilings, curved staircases, and the 40-foot turret.

Explore the projectBefore the finish
A refined finish begins below the surface. Existing coatings, substrate stability, flatness, repairs, and primer compatibility all affect the result. Smooth Venetian plaster generally calls for a Level 5 prepared surface; we assess the actual conditions before agreeing on a preparation scope.
Working together
We discuss the architecture, light, intended sheen, color direction, and the surfaces to be finished.
A physical sample establishes the finish direction. Movement and tone vary naturally in hand-applied work.
After the agreed preparation and protection, the selected plaster is applied in layers and worked to the approved finish.
Any specified protective treatment is applied as appropriate to the system, with care guidance for the finished surface.
Project questions
Yes. The selected plaster and application determine texture and sheen. We discuss the intended result and use a physical sample to establish the direction before the main application.
Sometimes. The existing paint, surface condition, repairs, and adhesion must be assessed first. Preparation and a compatible primer may be required; an existing painted wall is not automatically ready for plaster.
Surface area is one factor. Preparation, height, access, curves, protection, number of layers, and finish complexity also shape the scope. Send photos, the project location, and your desired timing so we can discuss the work.
Yes. We coordinate samples, finish expectations, preparation responsibilities, and access with homeowners and project teams throughout Orlando and Central Florida.
